Aviora Compass

About us

A steady guide for every autism journey in BC.

We started Aviora Compass because no family should have to become a policy expert to get the support they’re entitled to.

Our story

Born from a kitchen table full of forms.

Like many BC families, we spent years juggling funding forms, school meetings, and waitlists, often learning about a deadline only after it had passed. The information was out there, scattered across dozens of websites and offices.

Aviora Compass brings it together. We track the programs and policies that affect autistic people in British Columbia, and we translate every change into one clear next step for your family.

We serve parents and caregivers of autistic children and teens, and autistic adults planning their own futures, from the first diagnosis through adulthood.

Our values

How we show up for families.

These principles shape every word we write and every screen we design.

Calm by design

Soft colours, gentle motion, and no pop-ups. Our tools are built to lower stress, not add to it.

Neurodiversity-affirming

We see autistic people as whole people with strengths, preferences, and the right to shape their own plans.

Plain language

No acronyms without explanation. No jargon. If we can say it more simply, we do.

Privacy first

Your family’s story is yours. We never sell data, and you can delete everything at any time.

Accuracy

How we keep information right.

Families act on what we tell them, so we take accuracy seriously.

Official sources first

Every step names the official program or agency behind it, so you can always check for yourself.

Reviewed by a person

Program changes are reviewed by our team before they reach your dashboard. Each guide shows when it was last checked.

Guidance, not decisions

We help you understand options and stay organised. Programs make eligibility decisions, and we’ll never pretend otherwise.

Built with the community

Join our Family Advisory Circle.

We’re inviting autistic adults, parents, and caregivers from across BC to help shape what we build. Members get early access and a free year of the Family plan.
